'I only expected to get to the semi's'

'No shame losing in the final'

'We played great cricket'

Blah fucking blah

CHOKERS

Is that your best team Dr Matt? Even with all the people being out of form, out of captaincy, out of international cricket, or simply divisive dickheads, you still think that's good enough to beat both NZ and Australia comfortably?

alpha - you've always been a great whine producing nation, so it's good to hear you've branched out.

Woakes first change & Cook & Pietersen wrestling in the dressing room?
I'd have Trott's shrink on speed dial in that case

Doubt it, and the weather is getting warmer and warmer here . We've become a great wine producing nation.
Just need to get a new cricket team and we'll be sorted

Re: Cricket World Cup : *Official thread*
If England have a fully fit first XI they should comfortably win both series this Summer.

Cook, Trott, Ballance, Bell, Pietersen, Root, Buttler, Ali, Woakes, Broad, Anderson

However, any injuries and they will lose heavily. The depth is not there. Only Lyth, Taylor, Stokes and Plunkett could threaten a starting spot.

Re: Cricket World Cup : *Official thread*
I think they'll probably go alright alpha....even with the glorious English weather on your side, I'm not sure it will add the missing 40-50% you currently need to be competitive, will it?

Let's get the Aussies back for our horrible conditions and see what they are made of.
The wind today would have blown Steve Smith over

Re: Cricket World Cup : *Official thread*
Was a bridge too far for the NZ side, but still proud of the team and all they achieved.

No choking there. We came up against the best team in the world, still smarting from their loss to us in the group stages. Everything had to go right for us yesterday, instead everything went against us, but there's no shame in losing the final.

I didn't even think we'd get past the semis, so it's all bonus territory for me.

And, we know, that we played great, attacking cricket all the way through, with humility and respect for the opposition and the game. There's a reason that most people outside of Australia and WHO wanted NZ to win.

I reckon the NZ tour of England will be a cracker. Just a shame it's only 2 tests.

Sounds like I did not miss much... much better getting the hound out and fucking off to vets football... seemed like the longest most drawn out tournament ever.... typical NZ just like their Rugby team in a WC... take them out of their own back yard and they self implode

Banjo it sounds like you're the one who's jogged on, what is strange is the fact you've made your choice and decision to turn your back on your homeland and go against them yet still continue to post regularily on an English forum full of the people you seem to despise.

Something don't add up and your the one who's worked out all the figures so it seems.

I wish people like you would be strong and stick to your convictions.

They have been fantastic here. The Tests in England in May/June should be VERY interesting.

Broad and Swann are horrible, chippy, arrogant arseholes. Agree with GRIFFLES vis-a-vis Haddin, Warner et al. Bollocks merchants.

WATTO is my type of bloke. Like the old Saffa, Brian McMillan. Big, powerhouse types. Terrific cheekbones. Shiny hair.

Re: Cricket World Cup : *Official thread*
Haddin & Warner especially I agree with.
Looks like Warner will be around for a while longer but expect Haddin will be gone soon.
Expect him , Rogers & Harris ( 2 good guys) will finish at the Ashes.
Am hoping next up will be young Sam Whiteman from WA. Born in Yorkshire.

Stepwise, they are cunts that just won the WC and will retain the Ashes in 2016.

Is it this that irks you or are you speaking from personnel experience?

BTW I am sure they are not too bothered by your strange opinion.
